So I was lucky enough to attend Tuesday’s tilt between the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Washington Capitals. I am first and foremost a Leaf fan but my favorite player is Alex Ovechkin. This is the second time I’ve seen him play live and I had tickets to the first game he ever missed in his NHL career. The result was fairly heartbreaking as the loss to the Capitals officially ending the Leafs unlikely run at a playoff position. Well, either that or Buffalo’s victory over Tampa Bay, it was pretty doomed anyway. Still, I came away with a very positive feeling. We fought well and put up an entertaining game against an obviously superior opponent.
