Carmelo Anthony is already getting booed in Denver. But since the Nuggets' star has been in talks with the New Jersey Nets, things have gotten messy. Yahoo! Sports reports that if the Nets continue to bring out the talks to public, the Nuggets will try to make deals with the New York Knicks instead. However, the Knicks are unable to try to get Melo, and it will be hard.
Anthony even agrees.
"Who wouldn't want to play in New York?" Anthony said. "I told you that last year. I think that's how all this stuff started, by me making that comment. New York is playing well right now. I don't think they're looking at me, they don't want me to come in here and mess what they have up. That's what I've read."
The deal looks like this so far:
Denver Nuggets Get - Devin Harris, Derrick Favors, Anthony Morrow, Quinton Ross, Ben Uzoh, Stephen Graham
New Jersey Nets Get - Carmelo Anthony, Chanucey Billups, Richard Hamilton
Detroit Pistons Get - Johan Petro, Troy Murphy
But a deal fully can't get done yet. And the deal may not go through unless if the Nuggets are able to ship off Al Harrington, too. Anthony doesn't see himself getting traded.
"That's my feeling. I don't think so. I don't want to elaborate on that anymore. That's just my own personal feeling," Anthony said following practice.
If Anthony were to go to the Nets and sign an extension, this could trigger Chris Paul and Dwight Howard to come in 2012.
But Anthony said he is so far unsure about coming to New Jersey and signing the three-year, $65 million extension.
Anthony says he is trying to not to focus on the trade talks. He has been struggling, as he was booed when he only scored eight points as the Nuggets lost to the Hornets. Boos came up.
"I'll be wrong if I'm sitting here thinking about that situation right now," Anthony said. "If I go out there tomorrow thinking about the New Jersey Nets, that would be disrespectful to my myself, disrespectful to the organization and to the fans out here."
However, I think a deal can go through. ESPN.com reported that the Nuggets need a fourth team to ship off Harrington. A team that comes up are the Sacramento Kings, who have the cap space and could use some more help at power forward. With this, everything is fixed.

Meanwhile Harrington, Murphy, and Petro will be reserves for their teams, but will most likely get their minutes, too.
The Nets would have to sign at least two more players since they would have ten after the trade.
But the trade could work and I see Anthony's only destination by the deadline only being the Nets, in my opinion.
