Most of you who follow or peruse Touchdown Dance probably noticed how stagnant it has been lately. There are a few reasons for it, which I would like to explain to you in this post.
1. Time- some of you know I've re-dedicated myself to a healthier more fit lifestyle and this has taken up a good bit of time between working out and planning meals for our diet. Now that the weather has turned a bit nicer and the days are longer it gives me more time to have my kids burn off that pent up energy outside and spend more time with them as they go to bed later. Then there is just the plain everyday errands and Honey Do list items that I need to get to.
As much as I would love to eat, breath and live the NFL I don't get paid to follow or report on it so all the above items must come first. If anybody reading this can find me a job doing this it would be greatly appreciated as I am still unemployed, going on almost two years now.
2. Disgusted- I know that it is a really small percentage of NFL players that are getting into trouble or in the news for something they may have or may have not done, but all of these stories have really started to disgust me. Of course everybody is innocent until proven guilty, but these players need to be smarter about putting themselves in these situations in the first place. In this world of 24 hour news on so many different levels today professional athletes need to be that much smarter about what they do and who they do it with.
3. This Website- since my move from the Blogger platform to the FanvsFan platform this blog has taken a nosedive to the bottom of NFL blogs. The promotion that was promised is not there, the ad revenue they hoped for isn't there and the blog editor still blows. The site has taken away a huge piece of motivation for me with Touchdown Dance. I don't like the way it looks and I really don't like the way it feels. I have spoken with the brass here at FanvsFan and they promised things will get better, but I don't see it and my blog is dying a slow death because of it.
There you have it. A look at why Touchdown Dance has been taking a knee for the past month, but I do plan on resurrecting myself and this blog. I promise it will return to resemble more of its former self. As of today I am rededicaing myself to it. Though I don't have as much time as I did before I will put the effort in that this blog deserves.
As always I appreciate each and everyone of you who takes your time to read this blog and I promise that I will get back to better days that the blog once had.
