My weekly Sunday Snapshot blog gives me an opportunity to look back on my sleeper picks from the past week and rate their performance.
Jim Thome
I recommended the aging star amid his stellar second half. Thome continued to hit, batting .286 with five RBI's, three runs scored and a home run. Look for Thome to continue to produce out of the DH slot in Minnesota. He is someone who could make an impact on your league in these last three weeks.
Ike Davis
I saw Davis as a prospect finally coming into form. I took a chance on Davis in my 12 team mixed keeper league but unfortunately it did not pay off. He hit just .150 on the week and did not produce as much in the power categories as expected. Davis can be sent back to the waiver wire in all but the deepest of mixed formats.
Fausto Carmona
Carmona is one of my pet prospects in fantasy baseball. Though he did not get a win this week, he pitched seven innings, striking out eight. Carmona allowed just four hits in his matchup against the Angels, but his struggling Indians club couldn't provide the offense necessary for a victory. Carmona is someone who can be trusted in most mixed formats depending on the matchup.
