There were only two games in the NHL last night.

 

Rangers 4 Wild 1

Cam Talbot turned aside 24 shots and Carl Hagelin scored his eighth of the year in the rangers 4-1 win over the Wild.  Benoit Pouliot and Mats Zuccarello and Chris Kredier all scored for the Rangers while Derick Brassard had a pair of assists.

Niklas Backstrom made 32 saves and Jason Pominville scored his 17th goal of the year as it was the Wild's only goal in a 4-1 loss to the Rangers.

 

Canucks 2 Jets 1

Eddie Lack took over for a injured Roberto Luongo and made 15 saves in the Canucks 2-1 win over the Jets. Chris Tanev and Brad Richardson scored for the Canucks in the win.

Ondrej Pavelec made 23 saves and Evander Kane scored the Jets' only goal in a 2-1 loss to the Canucks in Vancouver.

 

NHL News and Notes: Blue Jackets Marian Gaborik (broken collarbone) is expected to be sidelined for as much as two months.....Flyers Erik Gustafsson is expected to miss the next two weeks due to a sprained knee.....Red Wings Stephen Weiss has undergone surgery for a sports hernia. Weiss isn't expected to return until after the Olympic break.
