Quick notes from the first day of training camp:
Ahman Green is released for Als camp:
From Dave Naylor's Twitter Account: "Green had hamstring injury but as a mid-30s guy, teams usually won't wait on unproven vets to get healthy. They move on with younger guys."
"The lesson on Ahman Green's release: when you're a vet who can no longer can play in NFL, usually means you can't play in the CFL either."
The Al's still have DeAndre Cobb at RB after they let Avon Cobourne go into free agency.
Arkee Whitlock Ahead at Eskies Camp:
I expect both him and Daniel Porter to be on the roster at the start of the season. Edmonton hasen't had a dominate running game for a while and I think this 1-2 punch can do some damage.
Final Esks Training Camp Note:
Tj Hill has been lining up as the starting Free Safety as apossed to linebacker or halfback, both positions he has played in the past.
