Struggling Senators call for help
If the failing Ottawa Senators have any hope of getting into the 2010-2011 NHL playoffs they will need to make changes and thats just what they did today by calling up AHL leading scorer Corey Locke and goaltender Robin Lehner who recently returned from the World Jr's. 19 year old goaltender Robin Lehner is expected to get the start Thursday when the Senators take on the New York Islanders, making him the first teenager to start in nets for the Senators. Coach Cory Clouston released a statement today "We just need him to play smart and be creative" Clouston said of Locke"He's going to be on a line with Nick Foligno and Ryan Shannon. They had great chemistry with an element of speed and skill in practice" The Senators flight to New York was cancelled after Tuesday night's game in Boston (6-0 loss) due to weather conditions,They will fly out Wednesday night. Due to the cancelled flight the Senators took to the ice at Boston University for practice Wednesday, This practice did not come without some controversy,Winger Chris Neil dropped the gloves with Blue-Liner Chris Campoli.
