Former Washington standout Spencer Hawes (above) is one of several NBA players scheduled to play in the annual Rip The Cut Tournament this Memorial Day weekend.

Tournament organizer DeShawn Jackson said 18 teams are scheduled to play in the three-day tournament that begins 9 a.m. today at Garfield High School.

Hawes will team with Martell Webster, his Seattle Prep teammate and the UW signee who plays for the Portland Trail Blazers.

Former Franklin High star Aaron Brooks and Rainier Beach product Terrence Williams are expected to field a team and Jamal Crawford is planning to play.

Hawes and Webster's team will play their first game noon Saturday. Brooks and Williams' team tips-off at 11 a.m. and Crawford takes the court at 1 p.m.
