Shock Of The Night........Daniel Bryan Returns!

Daniel bryan

To all of you who thought I was grasping at straws when making the Daniel Bryan return prediction, I have just one thing to say to you..................................NANER NANER NANER!

Serves you right for underestimating the Mouth of the South Shore!

Actually, I really did take a shot in the dark.  Obviously, the story made all the sense in the world.  The only variable in play was whether enough time had elapsed since "Tie-gate" for sponsors to be over the incident and be ok with Bryan returning.  Clearly, that was the case and it's a good thing, because the return made the night!

Before I try to put into words the emotions of that moment, I want to address a few things I heard over the weeks leading up to this.

1) Why did everyone keep bringing up Bryan's no compete clause?  That clause was put in place to prevent incidents like Lex Lugar, Alundra Blaze, Hall, Nash, and others jumping ship and appearing the next day on rival programming.  It never had to do with bringing someone back to your own program.  If a company fired you and then asked you back the next week due to remorse, couldn't you just go right back?  Same thing applies here.  The only thing we were waiting on was the proper amount of time to elapse to appease sponsors who were scared of Daniel Bryan's actions.

2) Whoever kept saying the Rock would be the 7th man, did all of you have brain removal surgery?  If so, I want to know who the doctor was, because he got to a lot of people in a short period of time so he must be good!  If you are going to book "the most electrifying man in sports entertainment" on your show, wouldn't you promote the hell out of it?  Doing that as a surprise would go over well with the few that bought the Pay Per View, but I would guess a lot more would buy it if Rock was going to be on it.  Plus, inserting Rock into the story would make about as much sense as Snooki on jeopardy.....

3) I just want to point out that I predicted EXACTLY how it would go down.  Care to guess why?

Anyone?  Bueller?

It's because I have seen it all in wrestling!  If you doubted me, don't ever do it again!

Of course, it still was a prediction for a man that wasn't under WWE contract, so there was a chance it wouldn't happen, and a large one at that.  So when the Pay Per View and had been somewhat lackluster until that moment, I knew that this could make or break the show.  When Miz came out and Cena grabbed the mic, I knew a change was being made.  The second the name Daniel Bryan was uttered, the arena erupted and so did I.  There are very few moments in wrestling that legitimately excite me, and that was one of them.  I'm not ashamed to admit that I literally jumped out of my seat and high fived my friend.  It was that big, and DB certainly delivered with technical prowess and great submissions.  The firing may have been the best thing for the kid, as that return may single handedly propel him to huge things.

Perhaps 20 years of fandom and countless hours of research has made me numb to most moments, but when wrestling comes through with a moment like tonight, you can't help but get excited.  It took me a while to come down from that high, but it certainly made my night, and I believe Daniel Bryan's return will bring nothing but good things to Monday Night Raw and the WWE.
