Here comes another story from your man B-Paul courtesy of another great experience at the TD Garden. Tonight I was lucky enough to attend the Celtics open practice at the TD Garden.
When Travis and I first got there we were one of the first "5:30 ticket holders" in-line for the event. With about 150 people stacked behind us, the security guard gave everybody the OK to head up to the next level around 4:50. We did expect people to run a little bit up the stairs in order to get to the front of the next line but we were wrong... they freakin' sprinted. I literally saw a Hedo-Turkoglu looking guy sprint up the stairs in about 2.3 seconds.
After we got in our second line we stood there for a while and around 5:15 we see a figure walking in the distance decked all out in red. Because of the height of the guy we could tell it was a player but not sure who.
We finally got into the loge level of the Garden, sat down, and looked to our left. There was Rasheed Wallace decked out in his red Philadelpha Phillies gear. WHAT!?
Yep, that same Rasheed that started Game 7 of the NBA Finals last season.
I'm not quite sure what Sheed was doing there but you have to wonder if he has intentions of coming back. Why else would he be in Boston for the Celtics open practice?
The fact that Sheed was there took my mind off of a lot of things going on at the practice because I continuously wondered what the hell he was doing there. Was he just there visiting friends? I'm not sure, but he did drive there because I saw him leave the players parking lot after the practice in his black Hummer.
Is Sheed still living in Boston? Could he be making a return? Most of all, do we even want him to return?
