Vanderbilt had to be devastated to see that Georgia defeated Arkansas 77-64 late Thursday night. The Bulldogs' victory sets up a horrible match-up for the 'Dores. Trey Thompkins showed why he was selected to the first team All-SEC by the league's coaches. He scored 23 points and had 14 rebounds to lead the way for Georgia.

Arkansas was able to keep the game within reach, but could never get the score within a single possession in the second half. This was a worse-case scenario for Commodore fans, who have already seen Vandy lose to Georgia once, then use up a lot of Memorial Magic to pull out an overtime victory a month ago.
