Miguel Montero
The Arizona catcher has been a superior option since coming off the DL. Montero was sidelined for a large part of the first half and has had just 53 at-bats on the season. In those 53 at-bats, however, he has hit .396 with two home runs and 10 RBI's. Montero is being eased back into catching full-time, but by the end of June he should completely take over for backup Chris Snyder. Montero has always been a valuable fantasy option at a thin position, but with his recent injury he may be available in your league. Add Montero and watch as he piles up stats for you in the second half of the season.
Adam Jones
His stellar first half last year had been written off as a fluke, but now he is coming back to life. Jones was considered a fantasy stud after last year's All Star performance, but many owners had lost patience with the mid-round pick. Now is the time to capitalize on their short fuzes. Over the past week, Jones has hit .444 with two home runs, four RBI's, and five runs scored. Take a flier on Jones. At worst, he is a streaking outfielder who you can use for a week or two and then cut for a hot option; at best, he is the All Star of a year ago who should be starting in all mixed formats from here on out.
Gaby Sanchez
Playing at the deep first base position makes it difficult for Sanchez to crack fantasy rosters, but he should be drawing more attention than this. He has hit .304 on the season with eight homers and 34 RBI's. Yet, he is owned in only 40 percent of fantasy leagues. Add Sanchez as a nice utility or corner infield option who provides a great average along with respectable RBI and run production.
