Dexter Fowler
The Rockies center fielder had looked like he might be headed to the DL, but he decided to play through the pain. Fowler has since caught fire, batting .342 with 10 runs and six RBI's over the past two weeks. He has also added two stolen bases over that time period, getting back to his roots as a base stealer. Look for Fowler to be a worthy option in most mixed formats while he is hitting well.
J.J. Hardy
The Brewers shortstop has always seemed to be a fringe option in mixed formats, but throughout the first half of the season he went without mention. Hardy has made up for lost time in the second half, batting well over .350. Over the past two weeks, Hardy has hit .361 while adding seven runs and five RBI's. Look for Hardy to be a viable option in deeper mixed leagues for this week and potentially the rest of the season.
Gio Gonzalez
The A's starter has polished up his arsenal since the All-Star Break. Over the past month he has posted a 2.65 ERA while adding 25 strikeouts and three wins to his resume. Gonzalez can be used as a spot starter in all mixed leagues and may be deserving of a permanent roster spot in deeper formats.
