It's that time of year; fantasy baseball season is winding down, college football is in full swing and we're about to experience the start of the NFL season. This is make or break time for fantasy teams still in contention. Here are a few players who can help you make that final push for your fantasy league championship.
Ike Davis
Davis has been hitting well recently. The Mets prospect is batting .391 over the past two weeks. During that period he has added three home runs and 10 RBI's to his resume. He's even shown a glimpse of speed scoring eight runs and stealing one base over the past 14 days. Look for Davis to continue to produce this week and through the end of the fantasy season.
Jim Thome
Thome has quietly put together a decent season with the Minnesota Twins. Recently he has been even better. Thome has hit .438 over the past 14 days while adding five home runs and eight RBI's. Thome should be active in most mixed leagues and could contribute in all mixed formats at the corner infield position.
Fausto Carmona
Carmona is a streaky pitcher who always seems to be on the verge of putting it all together. Carmona is in the midst of one of those streaks. Though he is 1-2 over his past three starts, his ERA is just 1.52 over that period. Carmona has also struck out 17 batters in his past 23 innings pitched. Look for Carmona to continue his hot streak when he faces the Angels this week.
