Pat Burrell
The former Phillies slugger has come back from the dead. With a new club, Burrell has revitalized his career and recaptured some of the power that made him a mainstay in Philadelphia. He has 42 RBI's on the season, including 10 in his last five games. Burrell deserves a look in deeper mixed formats amid his hot start to August in which he has batted .372.
Felix Pie
Possibly the only hotter player than Burrell so far this month is former Cubs prospect Pie. Pie has been on fire over the past two weeks, hitting .392 with nine RBI's and three stolen bases. Pie might be finally realizing his immense potential on his new team. Playing for the Orioles will likely keep Pie under the radar, but he deserves a look in most mixed formats for his potential.
Daniel Hudson
Since coming over from the White Sox, Hudson has impressed Diamondbacks management. In his last four starts, he's 3-1 with 21 strikeouts. He has kept his ERA under 3 and his WHIP below 1. Those kind of stats belong on a contender, not on a team that just shipped away some of its best players. Hudson is keeping the Diamondbacks in games and you could do a lot worse at the back end of your fantasy rotation.
