The fantasy season is drawing to a close and that brings new life to waiver wire players. In seasonal formats any player can be cut at this point. Every win, strikeout, RBI, stolen base or home run could make or break your season in these last few weeks.
Don't hold onto a player for his track record or draft position. At this point in the year, anyone is droppable. Personally I have made about 15 roster changes over the past two weeks and that is in a keeper league.
In keeper formats there are obviously a few exceptions to this rule for every owner, but remember, you can't keep everyone. If you are in contention, don't be afraid to go with the hot hand and attempt to win your league now rather than holding onto prospects for next season.
The only thing that can't be taken away from you this offseason is a fantasy league championship, so do everything in your power to capture that this season, even if it means handicapping yourself for the future.
