The Boston Bruins are very close on multiple deals, which would involve Maple Leafs puck moving defenseman Tomas Kaberle.
CSNNE’s Joe Haggerty first reported the deals on twitter.
“Sources tell CSNNE.com that Bruins getting close on multiple deals: Kaberle to Boston and Stuart to the Blackhawks,” said Haggerty.
The deal bringing Kaberle to Boston is rumored to be for Blake Wheeler and a draft pick. I have heard that draft pick could be anywhere from a 1st-3rd round pick. Personally if I was Peter Chiarelli I would not trade a 1st round pick with Wheeler. That price is just too steep, but any round after that I would make that deal in a second.
The other deal sending Mark Stuart to Chicago would simply be clearing cap space for Kaberle. It is rumored the Bruins would receive a draft pick(s) in return for Stuart.
