Lindsey Willhite of the Daily Herald broke the news yesterday that Northwestern 7-foot center, Kyle Rowley, will be transferring out of Northwestern to a school to be named later. Rowley's minutes diminished greatly down the stretch until he was forced in to heavy minutes due to starter Luka Mirkovic's back issues dealt Rowley huge minutes in the NIT loss to URI. Rowley was one of the prize recruits two years ago as Northwestern beat out heavyweights Georgetown, Pitt and Indiana for his services. However, Rowley was slow to develop in to the player 'Cats fans had hoped for. Northwestern now finds itself in somewhat desperate need of size as the thin Luka Mirkovic and back-up Davide Curletti - admittedly better suited for the Princeton offense - could use some muscle back-up to help bang...
