Say hello to the East's starter at point guard at this year's All-Star team
Derrick Rose won Eastern Conference player of the week. This is the second time he has earned the honor.
Rose averaged over 21 points and 9 assists in helping the Bulls go 3-0 during the week. The Bulls beat Denver, Golden State and Washington all home at the UC before heading off to the road for two weeks.
Rose had 18 points and 6 rebounds against the Nuggets, 22 points and 13 assists vs Golden State and finished the week against rookie John Wall with 24 points and 8 assists.
In eight games this season Drose is averaging 23.6 points, 9.5 assists and 3.8 rebounds. Both the points and assists are above his career average while his rebounds are right where he has been for his career.
For the Wester Conference former member of the Fighting Illini, Deron Williams, was named player of the week.
