As you can tell by our newest feature here in "The Jungle", "Rumble In The Jungle", Travis and I don't always agree on things. One of the things we have had multiple debates on is the always interesting debate on which NBA video game is better, EA Sports' NBA Live (Now NBA Elite) or 2K Sports' NBA 2K11.
With EA's tranformation from Live to Elite, I'd like to think I was right all along by backing 2K. Obviously things weren't working for EA Sports, and most likely sales were probably down (a lot), so they decided to try something different in hopes to compete with the best game in the industry.
So far this offseason I have heard nothing about the new Elite game, except that EA was indeed changing the name of their NBA platform. In the meantime, everyone is going crazy over the new NBA 2K11 and ad's have been all over the place. Most recently, our boy Rondo got his chance to shine in 2K Sports' most recent trailer (see below) for the release of the game this coming fall.
Rondo joined fellow NBA'ers Derrick Rose, Josh Smith, Andre Iguodala, and Russell Westbrook in a hillarious commercial highlighting the return of Michael Jordan to the game. Yes, that's right folks. You can play with the greatest player to ever touch a basketball in a modern day video game. Cool beans if you ask me!
