This offseason Rajon Rondo has not only established himself as the face of the Boston Celtics on the court, but also off the court. Rondo added to his off the court activities this past week by holding his Red Bull King of the Rock one-on-one tournament.
To say that the atmosphere at the event looked awesome would be an understatement. The event was held in Alcatraz, a former island prison in San Francisco. Isaiah "Clutch" Brown from Inglewood, CA (Sound familiar?) won the tournament and the $10,000 dollar prize.
ESPN's Ric Bucher reported on Twitter that the crowd at the event was given blankets, and the ball had to be wiped off after each possesion due to fog. Some might say that those would be rough conditions to watch basketball in, but I would give a lot just to witness the atmosphere on Alcatraz.
