The New York Islanders know where they stand with Thomas Vanek. Team Austria's captain, acquired by New York in October in exchange for Matt Moulson and a couple of draft pics, has made it clear that he intends testing unrestricted free agency this summer. The Islanders will have to move him in order to recoup, and even gain more than, what they lost in the trade that brought Vanek to Long  Island from Buffalo.Garth Snow would like to get a deal done prior to Friday's Olympic Roster Freeze.Not surprisingly, there are several teams interested in two-time 40-goal scorer's services.
