Reed Sorenson has been removed from the number 32 Turner Motorsports Dollar General Chevrolet effective immediately according to Dave Moody of Sirius NASCAR Radio.
Sorenson currently sits third in Nationwide Series driver points. Brian Vickers will race the 32 car this week in Kansas, and the following week in Charlotte.
Turner Motorsports just recently notified employees that they will be downsizing and laying-off workers at the end of the season. Turner is apparently scaling back in both the Nationwide Series and Camping World Truck Series by dropping one team in each series.
The scale down is due to Dollar General, a major sponsor for Turner in both series, apparently leaving the team at the end of the season.
Pocono Repaving:
Pocono Raceway has announced that the race track has already started to repave the racing surface. Pocono has said that they will have most of the track resurfaced before the winter comes, and will put the finishing touches on the track come the spring. The surface will be finished in time for next June's Sprint Cup Series event.
The track is repaving all of the racing surface, will have new concrete pit stalls, and will construct a new inside wall and a new flagstand.
