Back on the first Saturday night in June, there was a first for Brad Wolff of FanVsFan: an event that didn't require formal attire. I was approached by Red Bull and acclaimed basketball magazine DIME Magazine to cover a basketball tournament, but not one between superstars we adore, rather one between the greatest unknown talent New York City owns. The Red Bull Midnight Run showcased the best scouted players from the courts of Gotham City in rounds of pure 5-on-5 basketball. At the Nets practice facility, the best young talent you've never heard of grinded their way to the top by midnight. There, I spoke with Julius "Jules" Coles, a former Canisius College (NY, Division I) guard, who dominated his competition and is now playing overseas. It all comes down Friday night now. After rounds in Beantown, Chicago, and D.C., the top 33 players of the group of 400 will square off to represent their city at the state-of-the-art Barclays Center following the Nets-Pistons duel on Friday night. Follow the hashtag #MidnightRun on Twitter and my account, @Brad_Wolff, for the latest from "The House HOV Built".
