Anze Kopitar scored a power play to get the Kings on the board but it was too little, too late as the Kings lose their sixth in their last seven games.
There was hope after the Kings had a strong first period but disappeared in the second being outshot 10-3. Although the Kings outshot Chicago 10-6 in the third, it wasn't enough to come back from. Overall, the shots were fairly even with the Hawks leading 23-22.
It's another tough loss for the Kings, who travel to Anaheim Monday night to take on the Ducks for a 7pm PST (10pm EST) start. The Kings are nearly out of options as they need to get a win.
