Two of the best young point guards in the NBA will face off tonight at the Garden. Russell Westbrook will bring his Oklahoma City Thunder into town to face off against Raymond Felton and the New York Knicks. This is a great match up and they will be battling all night long.
Westbrook (22.8 ppg, 8.4 apg and 2 spg) is one of the most exciting players to watch in the league. While his jumper is not the best he can take you off the dribble and also the hops to dunk it on almost anybody. Unless you are a major hoops head Westbrook isn't exactly a household name. However, he should be mentioned in the same breath as the Chris Paul, Deron Williams, Rajon Rondo or Steve Nash (he is not on their level yet but he is on his way don't get me wrong) but playing in OKC he doesn't get the exposure those other guys do.
Felton (18.4 ppg, 9 apg and 1.9 spg) is having a breakout season in his first one as a member of the Knicks. He is only 6-1, 205 but he is built like a brick house and routinely bully's his opponent. Not many people saw the amazing play of Felton coming this year but he is definitely playing at an All Star level. Felton is the quarterback of this Knicks team and with out him they would not be anywhere near their 16-12 record.
This match up won't get as much publicity as it deserves but it's going to be 12 round title fight tonight. Westbrook vs Felton at Madison Square Garden tonight at 7:30 on MSG Network.
