According to the Portuguese magazine Correio De Manha and published in Goal.com , Radamel Falcao (striker for FC Porto) announced that he will be following his former coach to Chelsea. The deal for the change from FC Porto to Chelsea is expected to be 5 Million British Pound Sterling a year or $8 Million US Dollars a year.
Real Madrid wanted to sign Falcao but were distracted in their attempts to sign Neymar. The distraction worked to the advantage of Chelsea since it needs to be revamped for the 2011-2012 Premier League and UEFA Champions League.
The only inconvenience is the release clause included in Falcao's contract with the price of 26.5 Million British Pound Sterling or $42 Million US Dollars. Chelsea appears willing to pay the price in the release clause in order to sign Falcao.
Radamel Falcao was born on 1986 in Colombia and has exhibited an interest early in football. He has played for Millionarios and River Plate before signing with FC Porto as a striker.
Falcao was also predominant in the Colombian National Football Team in the 2010 FIFA World Cup Qualifier. The achievements of Falcao in the qualifier was five wins, one draw, four losses, and one goal for.
It remains to be seen what will happen next season.
