*The Detroit Lions completed a three team trade which netted them Tony Scheffler (TE) for Ernie Sims--Love the trade. Ernie Sims was a player who didn't fit the defensive scheme and had one year left on his contract. Tony Scheffler is a player who fits the offensive scheme and has one year left.
Scheffler will be used in a completely different way that Pettigrew and shouldn't be considered a backup or a replacement.
*Lions Claimed former Seattle Seahawks OG/OC Trevor Canfield off waivers--Nothing too exciting here. The addition of size to the roster is always nice. Canfield was actually a great fit for the ZBS out of college, bulked up, and then was cut for being too big. It happens. Lions could stash him on the practice squad.
*2010 NFL Regular Season Schedule Is Out--Again, in April, no one should be excited, but many were. Lions open at the Bears, play the Patriots in Thanksgiving, and finish with the Vikings. The Lions also play three of the first four away...not good.
Again, the Lions don't have a prime-time game.
