With the NFL Draft in the recent rearview mirror there has been quite a buzz about Mike Kafka going to the Philadelphia Eagles. It prompted me to connect with another Wildcat-turned-drafted-Eagle - former NU LB Barry Gardner. As most of you know Barry graduated as one of Northwestern's most prolific LBs and is third all-time on the NU tackles list. The All Big Ten standout was a part of the 1995 and 1996 Big Ten Champion teams and he was teammates obviously with Pat Fitzgerald.
