There was so much finger pointing before the game, but we should have known the Islanders would have found a way to prove our bickering was short-sighted.We have seen the Islanders make the playoffs, despite many predicting they would sit at the bottom of the East. We watched the Islanders hover around .500 in the middle of the year, in spite of an early five-game losing streak and poor goaltending. We even saw the Islanders finish the year on an 11-2-5 run, where even the slightest bit of error would have cost them hockey in May.
