I can't see it. I want it to happen. I've explained that it needs to happen.

But after watching Saturday's NCAA tournament semifinals, I can't envision a scenario in which No. 5 Butler upsets top-seed Duke tonight in the national championship game.

The Bulldogs are gritty and courageous. They play excellent defense. Many teams - including Washington - could learn a lot from Butler, which has found a way to win consistently without a lot of height or McDonald's All-Americans.

But it feels as if the Bulldogs ran into a wall during the final minutes of their win over Michigan State. In many ways, West Virginia would have been a better matchup for Butler.
