Dr. Je-Kyle and Mr. Hyde shows up as the Phils take the series from the Mets. Great outing by Kendrick.
He usually has a nice bounceback game when throws a stinker like he did in his last outing. Kendrick lasted 6 plus, giving up 1 earned run, to earn his 8th win of the year. His ERA sits at 4.45, pretty solid for a starter who was basically looked at as a 6th starter on this team to start the year. Durbin (10th hold, although he gave up a deep flyout to Franceour that would have been an homer in CBP), Madson (5th hold), and Lidge (16th save) combined to close it out for Kyle.
At the plate, Victorino looks to be hitting his stride coming off the rest a trip to the 15 day DL provides. He had another multi hit night as he went 3 for 5 with 2 doubles and his 53rd RBI. His average has now creeped up to .255.
The Phils will now get a day off before they start a pivotal 3 game series at home against the team they are tied for the wild card lead with in the Giants. Barry Zito will toe the rubber against Roy Oswalt, in what could be Chase Utley's first game since the end of June. Game starts at 7:05.
