Tears running down his face and filled with overwhelming emotion, Paul Pierce couldn't get out an answer for Greg Dickersons first question in the on court post game interview. 20,000 points in the same uniform meant a lot for the Captain, as it should. After all he has been through throughout his career in Boston, how could it not be an amazing time?
In a tight game in overtime, Pierce raised his hands to celebrate his 20,000th point. That doesn't bother me one bit. There are certain individual accomplishments that should be celebrated at the time they are completed, and this was one of them.
So congratulations to Paul Pierce for reaching this milestone. What The Truth has done throughout those 20,000 points is appreciated, as will what he does throughout the remainder of his career in a green uniform!
