Patric Young leads Florida Gators to Overtime win over the Arizona Wildcats
The Florida Gators finally got a big win but it was a struggle. The Gators struggled for much of the game but kept fighting. Arizona took a one point lead into half before Florida kept fighting and took the lead late in the second half. Arizona wouldn't quit either and the teams finished tied at the end of regulations. Florida took control early in the overtime and didn't look back.
The key to Florida's success was Patric Young. Young had a career night, he scored 25 points to go along with ten rebounds. A great night from Young took the focus off the terrible night from Junior Kenny Boynton and Senior Erving Walker. For 30 minutes these two upperclassmen sucked but when it counted the turned it up. Walker finished with 14 points while Boynton finished with nine points.
The Gators were terrible all night shooting only 41 percent from the field. I am not a fan of taking 27 shots from the three point line making only three. The real problem for the Gators is their free throw shooting. Shooting 15-32 is not acceptable.
Florida will back in action on Friday Night against Rider.
