Some wondered just how the Pittsburgh Panthers were going to respond playing in a lousy tournament like the CBI instead of the NCAA Tournament.

They played extremely well.

Pittsburgh routed Wofford at the Petersen Events Center 81-63 on Wednesday in their first CBI Tournament game.

Not like these CBI games matter, but the Panthers shot 55 percent from the floor and drained 14 three-pointers.

Tray Woodall and J.J. Moore led the way with 16 points, Lamar Patterson added 13 and Talib Zanna and Ashton Gibbs chipped in with 12. Woodall, Gibbs and Moore each hit four three-pointers.

Patterson playing well, Woodall regaining his shot, Zanna playing solid and Moore shooting well were all positives you can take from this game.

Moore played well in certain games to finish the year and it was nice seeing him play well even against a team like Wofford.

There were less than 1,500 people in the stands at The Pete to watch this game.

Do you blame them?
