Ottawa Senators general manager Bryan Murry has agreed to a three-year contract extension. 

Murray joined the Senators in June 2004 as a coach. He then replaced head coach, Jacques Martin after the playoffs. He took the team to three-consecutive playoffs, making the Stanley Cup Finals losing to the Anaheim Ducks. He went 107-55-20 in three seasons as head coach for the Senators. Assistant coach Paddock replaced Murray. After he served as head coach for the team, he was promoted to general manager on June 18, 2007. He fired interim head coach Paddock and hired Craig Hartsburg in June 2008.

While serving as general manager for the Senators, he made key transactions such as trading Ben Smith to the Chicago Blackhawks for Martin Lapointe. Also...
