Stopped by Oregon State's practice today and chatted with coach Craig Robinson (left) and the Beavers. In his second year, Robinson is doing an amazing job of turning around the OSU program.

Senior G/F Seth Tarver remembers when Robinson first arrived he ran players through 5:30 a.m. practices.

"I was thinking, this guy is crazy," Tarver said.

Robinson explained he needed to do something to quickly get the players' attention and shake them out of the malaise they'd been in.

Our conversation turned to the Washington Huskies. Robinson, a defensive-minded coach, is a big fan of Quincy Pondexter and Venoy Overton. You can read more about his affection for Pondexter in a story that will be posted online shortly.
