Over the weekend the Orlando Magic made two very major power trades. The first trade with the Phoenix Suns sent Hedo Turkoglu, Jason Richardson, and Earl Clark to the Magic for Vince Carter, Mickael Pietrus, Marcin Gortat and a 2011 first round draft pick. They were'nt done just yet because a few hours later they traded Rashard Lewis to the Washington Wizards for Gilbert Arenas. These moves are big because they put the Magic in a very good position to compete with the rest of the Eastern Conference especially the Miami Heat. If you look at there possible lineup it could be Jameer Nelson at the point guard position then Gilbert Arenas at the two then Hedo Turkoglu at the three and Brandon Bass at the four with Dwight Howard rounding it out. This trade also shows that the Orlando Magic are looking to make a championship run now and are spending the money to do so especially with a possible lockout looming. I;m real anxious to see how they perform and how cohesive they will be because for the simple fact some of these guys have to take a lesser role (Gilbert Arenas) for the sake of winning but I think if these guys want to win things will change.
