So I guess it is now safe to say that this week has been rather adjitating, emotionally draining and confusing. With all the talks of 'Melo going to New Jersey in a three team deal involving the Detroit Pistons, Knicks fans including myself have been on edge just waiting to see what will play out. Almost like a reality television special, this whole 'Melo debacle seems endless. And the fact of the matter is, it has the makings to be just that. Endless.
What we know now is that 'Melo himself has not said or indicated he would even think about becoming a New Jersey Net. Sources close to 'Melo also reported that if he indeed does end up in New Jersey, they would be utterly surprised and almost in shock.
So the moral of the story is there is no deal. The deal that was so close to being done seems to be an act of excitment and hype only from the Nets. And finally, when the dotted line is signed and 'Melo himself commits to a deal, then we as fans will all know just what is going on.
