The media coverage of the Big Ten expansion continues to be front and center as the convening of the conferences' ADs and other execs comes to a close in Chicago this week. Our PHD candidate in expansion-ology, Teddy Greenstein, offered this article about the chicken-egg process of Big Ten schools already getting in to scheduling debates before the "pie is baked". The schedule conversation got me thinking about NU's schedule and the annual "will we/won't we?" clean sweep of the non-conference slate. I think I speak for all of us when I say we're pretty jaded based on history on this one. In my lifetime, NU has made the clean sweep in non-conference play, exactly once - in 2008. As you start projecting which games we'll win and which ones we'll lose to size-up potential overall records...
