Nike saps the spirit from throwback jerseys

I'm all for throwback jerseys and helmets. And the ones Iowa plans to wear for at least one game in 2010 (Sept. 25 vs. Ball State) are a nice homage to the 1958 Hawkeyes team that won the Big Ten and the Rose Bowl.
But two questions?
1. OK, we get it Nike. You have the big contract and you're going to make the throwbacks with child labor in Indonesia, but it's supposed to resemble the 1958 jersey so do we need the Swoosh?
2. Will the helmet numbers match the jersey numbers?
