The NFL cant leave well enough alone. Overtime has been the same for all teams since its inception in 1974. Now , because of all the whining going on by teams that cant win in overtime, the NFL is prepared to cheapen EVERY overtime win by any team since 74.
To me, if ya lose the coin toss, play some fu#$%^& defense. But noooooo, its not fair, Peyton Manning didnt get a chance, Brett Favre didnt get a chance.
Pure Crap. They both had all damn game to get it done, by failing to outpoint the opposition in a regulation 60, they left their teams at mercy to the RULES.
Maybe next, we can just eliminate the entire game and just send the favorites on to the next round automaticly, so everyone is happy, except the lower rung teams that get screwed by this proposed rule change. The Miami San Diego 1981 OT playoff classic could NEVER happen if the rules are adjusted.
