The 2010 NFL Draft has come and gone, and true to his words at the team's pre-draft luncheon two weeks, Bills GM Buddy Nix said running back Marshawn Lynch wasn't going anywhere.
Lynch is still a Buffalo Bill. He still has a locker with the No.23 jersey hanging in it, and despite the Bills' selection of RB C.J. Spiller, it doesn't look as though Lynch will be running for any other team but the Bills in 2010.
When Bills announced their selection of Spiller, I think the general concensus was that Lynch was most likely going to be dealt at some point before the conclusion of the draft. However, that was not the case.
There were rumors and speculation leading up to the draft that the Bills placed Lynch on the trading block and were shopping the former Cal running back. One team reported interested in acquire Lynch was the Seattle Seahawks, but they took a different avenue to beef up their backfield acquired RB LenDale White from Tennessee and RB Leon Washington from the New York Jets during the draft.
Nix has stated that Lynch is under contract with the Bills and they fully expect to keep him with no intentions of shipping him out of Buffalo. So, we finally answered the big Lynch question: will he be a Buffalo Bill after the draft? That answer is yes.
