The 2010 NBA Draft came and went and the Knicks made no exciting moves. There were rumors from reporters’ “sources” that the Knicks were trying to trade up into the first round but that didn’t happen. The Knicks of course don’t have their first round pick because of the genius Stephon Marbury trade which hasn’t stopped haunting Knick fans. So the Knicks had two usuallly useless second round picks at 38(Andy Rautins 6-6 PG/SG - Syracuse) and 39(Landry Fields 6-7 SF - Stanford). I thought for sure they were going to draft the Lincoln High School/Cincinnati prodigy Lance Stephenson with one of their second round picks but Mr. Walsh went in a different direction.
Many upstate New Yorkers and Big East fans might love this pick but odds are NBA guards will run circles around the old Rautins(23 years old).
I’m not going to lie to you and say I have heard of this guy but he did average 22 ppg and 8.8 rbs as a senior.
I am not excited about 2 second round picks what I am excited about is July 1st. Knicks fans don’t listen to all the reporters out there flip flopping on where LeBron/Wade/Bosh are going to go in this 2010 NBA Free Agent “Lottery.” NOBODY KNOWS EXCEPT THE PLAYERS THEMSELVES WHAT THEY ARE GOING TO DO JUST SIT TIGHT AND HOPE FOR THE BEST. WE WANT LEBRON!!! (OR A TRADE FOR CHRIS PAUL)
