The days of reckoning are nearly upon us.

As an NBA aficionado, I look forward to the NBA Draft, the Trade Deadine, and Free Agency period nearly as much as I do Opening Day or the Finals.

I love it all.

This is such a fun time of year because of all the potential for change.

Everyone's hopes are high.

No matter whether you're the recently crowned champs or perennial doormats, you now have the opportunity to build for the future with just a few short moves.

But choose wisely.

The small NBA roster size and guaranteed contracts mean that the margin for error in these choices is much smaller than in the NFL or MLB.

As an NBA fan, (and a somewhat morbid person), I think I'm often just as intrigued by the failed draft picks and deals as I am by the successful ones.

There's just something about thinking (knowing?) that I know (think?) better than an NBA executive.

Now, if I could only get their paycheck.

Allow me to once again put on my GM hat (it's a Darth Vader helmet), and swing some deals. Some are already rumored, and others just make sense.

Many of these could have a major effect on the upcoming draft, others could just stand alone. Either way, these trades concentrate on players already in the NBA.

And they all make sense.
