Greg Erwin will be Sam Hornish Jr’s crew chief in 2013. Erwin was crew chief for the #43 car of Aric Almirola in the Sprint Cup series in 2012. This will be Hornish’s 2nd full season in the Nationwide series..and hopes to get some wins with Veteran crew cheif Greg Erwin. Erwin also has been a crew chief for Greg Biffle at Roush Fenway Racing and won 5 races with Biffle in the cup series. He also qualified for the chase 3 straight years in a row…with Greg Biffle.

 

Yesterday JR Motorsports announced Greg Ives will serve as the crew chief for Regan Smith in 2013 NASCAR Nationwide series season. Greg served as an engineer for Jimmie Johnson 2006-10. Regan will run the No. 5 Chevrolet as he’ll compete for the 2013 Nationwide series championship. Taxslayer.com will serve as the primary sponsor for the car. Ives has been with Hedrick Motorsports for all nine years of his NASCAR career. In 2004 he served as a mechanic for the 24/48 team before moving to engineer role on the No. 48 team in 2006. Ives took part in winning five championships, 42 wins, 113 top-fives, and 21 poles. Greg stated in press release:
