The NASCAR Nationwide series qualifying session at Chicagoland Speedway was Saturday afternoon.
Brian Scott had to change his engine in practice but that didn’t slow him down on Saturday afternoon. He set the pace with a lap of 176.7 mph with a time of 30.55 seconds.
Starting next to him will be Brad Keselowski laid down the second fastest lap.
Scott earned his first career pole in the NNS and would be leading the field to green.
Some other notables and where they qualified Elliott Sadler qualified fifth while the driver he is chasing in the points in Ricky Stenhouse, Jr. will start 11th.
Carl Edwards will start 10th and Kasey Kahne will start 22nd. Also, Kenny Wallace will start 15th and Mike Bliss will be starting 14th.
On Saturday afternoon one of these two drivers on the front row would like to break the streak of no front row winners in the NNS.
The drivers that did not qualify were Tim Andrews, Jennifer Jo Cobb, Brian Keselowski and Angela Cope.
