The Washington Redskins defense is terrible and that is being nice about it! We are 31st against the pass. I blame the coaching staff for this because we don't have the players for that scheme to work at this point! We have no pass rush whatsoever and that is a big part of why we suck against the pass. Our defense has finished in the top 10 in 8 of the last 10 seasons and was 10th last season. Andre Carter and Brian Orakpo need to have their hands in the dirt on every play and turned loose to rush the QB. Andre Carter showed he wasn't a linebacker when the 49ers had him and Brian Orakpo was the best DE in the nation when he played at the University of Texas and we drafted him to play linebacker, WHY? I give him and Andre Carter big props for doing what the coaches have asked them to do. I already know that this new regime didn't draft Orakpo, but they are playing him out of position like last years staff! We have some holes on the offensive side as well, but it's the lack of defense that is killing us. You adjust your scheme to the players you have to work with and what their skill set is. You are not supposed to force feed them to play out of position and in a scheme they will fail at!
