Sunday, December 5th at 8pm here at M&T Stadium the Ravens take on the Steelers in round 2. The Ravens took round 1 earlier this season but there was one missing piece to the Steelers offense. Big Ben. Well he's back and it's all on the line this week.
The Steelers and Ravens are tied for first place in the division with the Ravens having the leg up beating them earlier. This game means everything. Both teams are sitting at 8-3 and the Ravens can take a two game lead in the division with a win this week.
With the games remaining for both teams, the Ravens schedule is far tougher still needing to face Houston, New Orleans and Cleveland. Pittsburgh has a breeze of a schedule remaining so this game is more important to Ravens Country than Steeler Nation. But when it comes to this rivalry, we always want the win and need the win for bragging rights if nothing else.
It's very likely the loser of this game will be the wild card and the winner will be the number 1or 2 seed in the AFC. They are both playing for a bye week and home field advantage in the playoffs. They are both playing for pride and both playing for our cities bragging rights.
So this is the week. The week we all knew was coming. The week that means the most and the game that determines our fate.
