Struck, 24, has spent his entire career with the Cubs organization to date, posting a 4.04 ERA with 6.3 K/9 and 3.3 BB/9 in 568 1/3 innings. Struck breezed through A-ball and Double-A, compiling ERA marks well under 4.00 (including a 3.14 mark in 218 innings at Double-A) but struggled immediately upon promotion to Triple-A, where he has a 5.82 ERA in 171 2/3 innings.
